Exercise is very important for those of us with PCOS. Exercise helps to keep our blood pressure in check and maintain a healthy weight, it can help with regulating healthier menstrual cycles and prevent complications like diabetes or CHD which PCOS sufferers are at a higher risk of than normal. Regular exercise is a wonderful way of helping reduce increased insulin, cholesterol or triglycerides and preventing these conditions from getting worse.

New research has found that exercising improves the way that our muscle cells respond to insulin. Reducing the insulin is what improves ovulation. Exercise helps to reduce body fat and build up muscle which helps to keep the insulin low. It’s really important to exercise and keep a healthy diet to control PCOS.
